The bus arrived at 6 in the morning and we now required a new currency. We also looked at the bus and trains (These were closer than in Warszawa) and we booked our tickets to Riga for 18.30 arriving at 23.00 for just 30Lt. This would give us a day to look around Vilnus after locking our bags in the train station.

It was a very nice city ad we got some breakfast from the market, consisting of bread and grapes going into the old city through the gates of Dawn to eat it. There are a lot of churches in the old town... everywhere.

Although the best thing I saw while we were there was what we all came to the conclusion was an artist commune squat. There was a butifully painted building which we discovered was a gallery for art work and some people hangign around by the river it was next too. There were scultures in and above the river but the watch tower and road block definately implied it was a squat. Unfortunately noone was cnfident enough in Lithuanian to aproach anyone.
