Want to wreite up an account of the Ulan Bator trip but don't have time, it was great and I spent ages looking for ankle bones after being taught the game by a nomad.
I finally got a set today of 39 which I managed to hagfle to about T2000 at the black market instead of the 10,000 from the department store. T2000 is about a quid by the way.
The stay was good and there is the best french bakery here.

Whose ankle bones do they need to be? It doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that would be easy to find in the normal run of things!! Maybe the Mongolians have more established methods for disposing of their ankle bones than we do here in Leicester...

We think they are sheep or goat ankle bones, they are about the right size and the Mongols eat quite a lot of those things so I assume they just save the bones then play with them. When I couldn't find any the first few days getting back to the city I was think of waiting till I got back and seeing if any butchers had any.
